Scorpio, this week a magical Taurus New Moon takes place on the 16th, and it will help us approach our relationship with ourselves and others from a more grounded, peaceful, and self-aware perspective. But before we get there, the week begins with the Pisces Moon in our sector of dating, true love, romance, and inner child healing. So, as you’ve been probably feeling ever since Pluto Retrograde began on May 6th, the Universe is asking us to slow down and be more in the present moment. It’s asking us to tap into what our inner child needs to feel more taken care of. That could be more rest. For a lot of us, it’s more play and a lot more presence because we tend to be overthinkers, overdoers. But right now, a lot of our transformation is internal rather than external.
So the Pisces Moon is perfect for just being with yourself, letting yourself daydream, and even if you have to focus on work, find ways to do so in a way that feels like play. Release the burdens and the overly capitalist expectations that we tend to put on ourselves, telling us we always have to go faster, do more, take on more, or burn out. No, no, no, no, no. That era is behind us. In this new era, we receive what’s meant for us the more we surrender to what’s right for us.
And on the 12th, this feeling of needing to surrender and not control is even stronger because the moon is void in Pisces almost all day until 8pm. EST, which means Tuesday, even though it’s Mars day, which is usually action-oriented, is once again trying to get us prepared for what this Taurus New Moon is going to bring in our lives. Because this week’s Taurus New Moon happening on the 16th, is the first New Moon in Taurus without Uranus, planet of surprise, being in Taurus as well in our partnership sector. This is the first new moon since, for the past eight years, where basically the cosmos is cutting us a break in terms of all of the mix-ups, drama, and plot twists that have been occurring relationally. This means we can finally hear ourselves and see ourselves more clearly, as well as our relationships. If you’ve been wanting a fresh start, whether that means letting go of a relationship you’ve outgrown or being open to one that you were in denial of needing, this is going to be the week for that.
But before getting to that breakthrough moment… the dark of the moon will start on the 13th. From the 13th to the 15th, the dark of the moon will be in Aries. That’s where you might notice your self-criticism becoming louder and criticism of others as well. Your need for things to be perfect, your need for things to make sense. But you’re in a liminal space this week. It’s not until this weekend that things will start making sense, so try to keep that in mind. Give yourself and others grace in the days leading up to the new moon. So much is changing at once.
And then on the 16th at 4:01pm EST, the Taurus New Moon strikes. That’s when you’re gonna notice it becoming easier to heal from the inside out. This is also because Mars, our ruling planet, conjoins with Chiron (the asteroid of inner wounds) Aries this week, making it very clear what aspects of life still need healing. And if you don’t run from that, the healing is easier. If you resist it, that’s when it feels like the Universe is out to get you.
And then by the 17th, the energy becomes lighter because Mercury, planet of communication, enters Gemini. And when it enters Gemini, it unites with Uranus, the planet of surprise, which is freshly in Gemini. And it makes life feel more playful and exciting and spontaneous and lighthearted. You might be ready to go on some sort of adventure, travel, take yourself hiking, meet new friends, or do things like signing up for an improv class. You’re just ready to spread your wings more and come out of your cocoon because the New Moon in Taurus helps you see that new possibilities are possible in terms of who you are. You don’t have to be the same person. You can reinvent yourself.
