Welcome to the 8/8 Ascension Portal, Scorpio. I’m taking a bit of a break from posting weekly scopes on Instagram, but I will be sending more regular email newsletters to the SM community. When we’re thinking of the legacy that we want to leave on the world, we’re thinking big. And chances are that much of what we’re ready to bring to life has been a long time coming. Retrograde season is helping us get our lives together by reminding us that life is precious and we only have the now moment — if a recurring dream or goal has been popping up in your subconscious mind, and you’ve been getting signs left and right that it’s time to pursue that path, this is the week to take that leap. Even if it starts with baby steps.
As the week begins, the Taurus Moon highlights your sector of partnership and marriage, meaning that many of the moves you’re about to make can be achieved with your ideal partner(s) by your side. This isn’t the time to try to do everything solo. With Mars, our ruling planet, currently in Virgo and activating our sector of community and networks, the Universe will position the right people and circumstances in your life to help you achieve your goals. All you have to do is ask, plan, and strategize. This also means being willing to let go of the need to control every aspect of the project. You have to learn to delegate and trust the team that you’re working with, Scorpio. Let go of micromanaging and take deep breaths instead. If you do the core work of training and explaining your objectives clearly, other people can pick up where you left off and even take things to greater heights than you would’ve previously imagined. If there’s one mission you should master during this 8/8 ascension week, especially starting this Tuesday, it’s to be able to ask for help. Keep practice asking for help when needed, and even start anticipating when you may need help even if you tried convincing yourself that you don’t. It takes a village.
Mid-week, the Moon shifts into Gemini, lighting up your sector of collaboration, mergers, and other people’s money. Pay attention to the way you spend and attract money around this time, Scorpio. Gemini energy tends to be light-hearted and unpredictable, but this can also lead to you being overly generous and whimsical with your resources. It’s important to use the presence of Mercury and Mars in Virgo to be discerning of who deserves your generosity, and where you can pull back a little and pour more into yourself. We’re also in Mercury Retrograde’s pre-shadow period, so we’re feeling the effects of the retrograde creeping up on us. Try to simplify the bills you have to pay. Make a list of what your current budget is on a personal and professional level, and use this week to streamline it. Get down to the basics. Adopt the “less is more” mentality in all that you do.
Romantically, the continuation of Venus Retrograde is leading to many Scorpios de-prioritizing love and focusing on our career objectives instead. That’s all good and dandy, but make sure you’re not building a fortress around your heart which leads to you pushing away others who want to reach out… Venus Retrograde may also lead to your ex flings, lovers, or past friends re-emerging and seeking your attention. Pay attention to how your body and nervous system feels around people who suddenly pop back up. Remind yourself that you have the power of choice. Just because you may not feel ready to reconnect with someone now, doesn’t mean you won’t feel ready later. The opposite is also true — you may feel a strong urge to reach out to someone from your past this week, but about a month from now when Venus will be direct, you may feel like you’ve reached a sense of closure. This is particularly true due to the Pisces Full Moon that will occur on August 30th. It’s okay to not know what you want right now, Scorpio. We’re in the midst of retrograde season. But the 8/8 Ascension Portal will help you feel more confident, even amidst the uncertainty, and it’ll help you stay committed to your values as a lover, friend, and human being.
