Scorpio, welcome to the first full week of Mercury Retrograde. Be proud of yourself for making it this far without tearing anyone’s head off — including your own 🙂 This week you’ll find yourself focused on maintaining a state of inner peace even when external events seem to cause turmoil. The Cancer Full Moon strikes at 6:49pm EST on Monday the 17th, helping Scorpios find closure after six months of exploration and curiosity when it comes to our spirituality, our long-term endeavors, and our philosophies about life. If during these past six months (think back to where you were on July 9th, 2021, when the New Moon in Cancer occurred), you’ve felt a bit lost or confused about the direction you wanted to take your life, you’re likely to spend this full moon re-evaluating what you’ve been giving your time and attention to, and mindfully releasing elements of your life that you’ve outgrown or that feel emotionally overwhelming.

The key is to not feel like you have to do it all at once, Scorpio. With Mercury and Venus both retrograde, and with Uranus, the Planet of Revolution, shifting direct in our partnership sector on the 18th, it’s important for you to be aware that there’s so much that you still can’t see… There are elements of your life that you may think are over, but once Mercury and Venus shift direct, you may unexpectedly breathe new life into them and feel motivated again. It’s okay to not always be in a period of blooming.

Astrologically, the astro new year doesn’t begin until March 21, 2022, which is two months from now. You’re still in a period of rebirth — you’re a seed that’s being planted (the Capricorn New Moon on January 2 was a reflection of that) beneath deep and dark soil, and that must patiently wait until it’s the right time for it to sprout. Be patient with yourself this week, particularly in the two days after the full moon in Cancer. Do a full moon release ritual that helps you let go fo the dead weight and feel lighter. And also be aware that the lightness may not immediately wash over you — you may actually feel heavier emotions this week as you process all the ways life has thrown you for a loop and re-routed your course. Let yourself feel whatever you must feel. Don’t rush through the healing process, no matter how uncomfortable it may initially feel.

Tuesday through part of Thursday, the Leo Moon helps brighten up our mood by boosting our confidence, especially when it comes to our careers. If there’s something you’re ready to launch (that you’ve been working on for a while, or that you’re bringing back to the table after a period of rest), aim to do so on Tuesday or Thursday. Use Wednesday as a period of reflection — an opposition between the Leo Moon and Saturn in Aquarius could have you being your toughest critic about recent professional and domestic matters, so it’s best to reduce the pressure you place on yourself when it comes to productivity, and instead get real about what’s been bugging you lately. Take concrete steps to start to diffuse the mental or physical tension that you may feel. Stretching your body, hydrating, journaling, or venting to a friend or therapist may be beneficial to you mid-week.

This weekend, the Moon starts off in Virgo, and Scorpios may find themselves wanting to have intimate conversations with a trusted lover, friend, family member, or all three. But will you feel courageous enough to ask for that head-on? Part of our post-full moon lessons is to not act like everyone we care for can read our minds. We must dare to be direct in asking for what we want and naming our needs. If you can’t do so on Friday, you may feel ready to open up more once the Moon shifts into Libra on Saturday afternoon. Your lovey-dovey side will emerge and your defenses will fall down, allowing you to better attract the connections and divine healing that your heart really seeks.

Even if you end up taking yourself out out a date, the act of dressing up for yourself, smelling nice for yourself, and treating yourself special will already let the Universe know the type of energy you deserve and want to receive. Uranus’ shift direct in Scorpio’s marriage and partnership sector also highlights the fact that love is all around and within you, and if you stay open to feeling its energy, you will continue to be astounded by its potency. Let this week serve as a warm embrace for you, Scorpio. You’ve made it past one of the most emotionally awakening full moons of the year, and one of the most socially unstable retrogrades (Uranus Retrograde). Take time to acknowledge your growth, your wisdom, and your magic. This year will continue to take you to new heights, and you’re more than capable of soaring through it all.
